"Simone Person is a Midwestern Black queer femme."
Simone Person is a Black queer femme who grew up in small Michigan towns and Toledo, Ohio. They explore grief through poetry and prose.
In their free time, Simone enjoys playing with their perfectly terrible cat, Tankie; putting on eyeliner; reading Fanon and Césaire, poetry, horoscopes, and Black feminist theory; watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine with their incredible partner; doomscrolling; putzing around in Canva and Photoshop; playing Cult of the Lamb and Stardew Valley; drinking a concerning amount of black coffee; witch-cackling in group chats; and cooking their way through Midwestern culinary culture.
